VW Caddy with two new variants

"Maxi TGI" and "Dark Label" are the names of two new versions of the VW Caddy. Thus, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN) is expanding its Caddy range with two variants that can also be combined. The Caddy is available with petrol, diesel and CNG engines. The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine develops 96 kW/131 hp. and provides low-energy driving in a large Caddy.

The Caddy Maxi TGI is the only vehicle in the series to carry the A+ energy label and be able to run on bio-CNG in an economically attractive and environmentally friendly manner. The cost of LNG is significantly lower than that of gasoline or diesel fuel. In addition, one kilogram of LNG provides about 1.5 times more energy than a liter of gasoline and 1.3 times more than a liter of diesel fuel. With a consumption of 4.3 kg/100 km CNG or 118 grams of CO2 per kilometer (combined), depending on the individual driving style, it is necessary to drive over 400 km on CNG plus about 120 km on a full tank of petrol.

The Caddy Maxi TGI from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, available only with a manual transmission, uses the latest 1.5-litre 96 kW MQB engine from the Volkswagen Group, which has been specially designed to run on compressed natural gas. The new Caddy TGI is only available as a long wheelbase version in Cargo, Kombi, Caddy Life and Style. Prices for natural gas Caddy start at €27,430.00 (net/excluding VAT) for a Van and €35,075.25 (gross/VAT included) for a Caddy Kombi Maxi.

The special Dark Label model, also available on request, features numerous black design elements and a high-quality interior. This elegantly distinguishes the model, which is only available in four different body colors, from other models in the Caddy range. The new special model is based on the average configuration "Life".

In addition, the "Dark Label" features black roof rails, shiny black "Columbo" 17-inch alloy wheels and matching foil lettering. The exterior mirror housings are also painted black, the door handles are also painted in body color and the sliding door track is painted black. The range of equipment includes a panoramic glass roof, LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and a keyless start system.

The Dark Label Caddy can be ordered with a short or long wheelbase. All available petrol and TDI engines for the Caddy are available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive – of course, the new TGI natural gas engine is also available. Prices for this elegant special edition model of the Caddy series start at EUR 29,642.90 (including VAT) for a 1.5l TSI.
